I've been doing jingle production for websites. Some were companies
that do business strictly through the internet. Others were auto dealers
who simply wanted to highlight their web page in their radio jingles.
It's interesting writing a jingle for a website, because it's not really
selling the company name, it's selling the url address. Effective though,
since it drills that address into your head. I guess the lesson here
is that jingles aren't just these radio or tv music beds that are specifically
advertise-oriented. They are actually "hypnotic songs" that
can be written for any venue. Instead of getting someone to go to an
auto dealer, you could write a song that helps people quit smoking,
and call that a jingle. Hmmm...an interesting creative concept...
